Southwest Regional League side Options Sports Academy of Limbehas made the building of the culture of professionalism amongst its players as their main priority.
This was disclosed recently by the President of the club, Awantoh Henry Neba after one of the club’s friendly games. “The whole idea is to build a culture of professionalism around our players. This is done by giving them the opportunity to play with giant clubs. This helps to develop their mindsets for the future,” President Awantoh explained.
The Southwest Regional League side is setting a record of their own since they gained promotion from the Fako Divisional League.
The club is gradually gaining grounds in football in the region with young players like forwards Nebamkia Peter Paul amongst others. Although a new side in the region’s topflight football, many players prefer to ply their trade in the club.
“Options Sports Academy is well structured and looks ambitious. My dream is to play with such a club for it will help me grow professionally and also guide me in achieving my dreams,” said a promising player.
Before the beginning of the championship, the club has a tradition of visiting orphanages in the Limbe municipality.
Created in 2019, the Limbe-based gained promotion into the Southwest Regional League that same here. Last year, the club was amongst the three clubs to represent the region in the Cup of Cameroon.
